Since passing the bar in 2008, Chad G. Koop has helped many Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati families through their family legal matters, and he has continued to do so since becoming a partner at The Farrish Law Firm, L.P.A. in 2015. As a domestic relations and family law attorney, he strives to guide people through difficult times by finding solutions that fit their unique situations. His extended experience in the practice area and dedication to client interaction are major contributors to his continued success.

Chad received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, and then went on to complete his Juris Doctorate at the University of Dayton School of Law.

His favorite part about being an attorney is the interaction with his clients. Every time he works with someone, Chad strives to develop a rapport and trust with the client. This is what allows him to generate the creative strategies necessary to meet each particular client’s unique goals. To this end, since being trained as a collaborative professional and joining the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals (CACP), Chad has developed a passion for collaborative family law. He has found that helping his clients through these difficult times, in a respectful and amicable manner, as a group, has been extremely rewarding. However, Chad also understands that the collaborative process is not always an option. As such, he is an experienced trial attorney that is always prepared to aggressively litigate divorce cases when settlement outside of court is not possible.

Chad isn’t just an attorney; since the birth of his daughter in June of 2014 he’s also gone by the name of, “Dad.” He loves to exercise, especially enjoying playing golf and softball. There’s nothing like relaxing on the green. Like Rob Dziech, Chad is a die hard, tried and true University of Kentucky fan, especially during basketball season. He’ll still cheer on the Reds and the Bengals, of course, but his heart belongs to the UK Wildcats.

Client Reviews

“Chad provided excellent representation as a professional in his planning, preparation, and execution of our case. His skill sets and knowledge afforded us to not only win our case, but exceeded expectations.” -Michael

“We availed ourselves of Chad’s services in October 2013 because of a radio advertisement that told us his law office would help men in divorce situations. Although I was already divorced I had a legal issue regarding alimony that needed to be addressed. My new wife and I found Chad to be extremely attentive to our needs/desires. He kept in constant contact with us and was very prompt at returning phone calls. The case was finally closed in June 2014. We found Chad to have exceptional integrity in his legal dealings and highly recommend him!” -Richard W.

“I couldn’t have asked for a more professional, attentive and prompt individual for my legal representation. My circumstances required Mr. Koop’s services with me being out of state and everything from the front office to the post case follow-up was nothing short of seamless and professional.” -Michael
